Standing on a ledge, wanting to fall
Wondering was it worth it, worth it at all
Sent us off to fight in a foreign land
For reasons I don’t understand
Frightened faces haunt me every minute
I can’t seem to sleep, I’ve reached my limit

I think now about the moments that we’ve shared
How you listened, how you cared
But the voices of the brothers I have lost
Call me now to pay the ultimate cost

Army doctors asked me how I felt
I said I felt hollow not myself
Said it was ok to feel anguish and shame
Take some of these, you’ll be normal again

I tried but I couldn’t lose the thought
Of things I have done, become the man I am not
Drugs and the bottle became my friends
But they held no answers, no answers in the end.

I feel the rush of air as I’m falling
And the voices of my lost brothers - calling.
