Summer – is drawing to a close You got to lose those daisy dukes and wear some warmer clothes Summer – inevitably Colder weather’s coming I’ll miss summer terribly Summer – festivals are done I’ll all those beer tents and getting baked out in the sun Summer – It follows logically I know winter depression’s coming, also S.A.D. Well, there’s nothing left to do Climb into my P.O.C. and cruise Whyte Avenue Or, climb into my bed Pull the covers overhead in existential dread Winter – isn’t it a bitch Watch those potholes forming, shake my car into the ditch Winter – should follow my nose Move to warmer climes where the weather suits my clothes Winter – it isn’t what I chose Maybe climate change will save my bacon I suppose Winter – I think I’m hearing voices I’ll miss those girls of summer and their tasteful wardrobe choices Well, there’s nothing left to do Climb into my P.O.C. and cruise Whyte Avenue Or, climb into my bed Pull the covers overhead in existential dread

The Cure 02:55
Do you feel alone even in a crowd Do you talk to yourself…out loud Well the prophet on the T.V. says “Its OK” “If you don’t feel anything all day” Take all kinds of drugs to make yourself feel better Tell you all kinds of lies and put it in a letter You’re no longer needed today It’s time to end this scene, and oh by the way Respect virtue integrity Seem, like important things to me Doesn’t seem to be any rationale When money’s more important than going to hell We deaden our senses to all kinds of vices Gambling, drinking, drugs, its reaching a crisis And who reaps the benefit of our tax dollars A politician paying it in a massage parlor So can I ask you a simple question You don’t have to answer, it’s at your discretion If it comes down to a choice of fate Can you pick love over hate….. Sell out your brother, put down a friend Build yourself a temple that you’ll lose in the end Look in the mirror ask yourself something Who’ll remember you when the angels sing Who will hold your hand when the angels call They’re coming for us brother, their coming, coming for us all

See that golden leaf Ride that surge out on that river Sometimes I feel like that No control whatsoever You steer for the Vees Avoid all the boilers Keep free of the sweepers And stroke for deeper water But sometimes it seems The effort is futile You get caught in that killing machine Go around and round in circles You’ve got to know when To head to the shore When that river runs high And you know what’s in store This boat they call Strife You do the best that you can Avoid the hidden rocks, At least that is the plan The current it may take you Unless you lean into that stroke Unless you read that river right May you long be afloat….

Gonna wear you down like water does Erode you without a pause Run where I want, don’t give a toss Quench your thirst when you’re at a loss Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love…….Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love I’ll be underfoot just like a puddle I’m a hot tub jet when you want to cuddle I’ll work through the cracks I am so subtle You will come clean without the muddle Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love – Gonna wear you down Erosion – Hear that water sound Erosion – No I ain’t no clown Just gimme the time don’t want no freeze I’m as smooth as water if you please My love’s like a gushin’ geyser, see Dissipate me, I got needs Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love – Gonna wear you down Erosion – Hear that water sound (Go Hans!) Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love – Gonna wear you down Erosion – Hear that water sound Erosion – Gonna lose that frown Ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love, ya I’m talkin’ ‘bout love ‘bout love…..’bout love……’bout love

I’ll take just a minute, just a minute, just a minute of your time I don’t have to leave, have to leave, the time is mine I will hold your hand, hold your hand, if you are scared You won’t have to worry, have to worry, I’ll be there I will listen, I will listen, I will listen, I won’t say a word Tell me what you want, what you want, even if it hurts Don’t you feel bad I’ll love you just the same This journey we are on, we are on, won’t end this day Chorus: The hardest part of living, part of living, is saying goodbye All the world’s sorrow, world’s sorrow, makes me cry But more than any word, any word, that we hear When your name is called, name is called, the voice is clear I’m not going to leave, going to leave, till you say so We can sit and laugh, sit and cry, or just say go Or quietly watch the time, as it passes on I may have to leave, have to leave, but I’ll never be gone Chorus Someday we should stop, we should stop, stop and wait To watch the sunrise, hear a bird sing, clean the slate I know that it’s hard not to dwell on those we have lost Everyone’s the same in the end, it’s our human cost Chorus X2

Rain falls softly from on high You were a beacon, while alive Your music inspired, as it soared, A source of strength, it did afford It’s funny how, a simple tune Can brighten a day, and scatter the gloom Heighten your mood, lighten your feet Release your mind, good feelings keep The business indeed, had let you down Sheister lawyer, manager clown Greed rampant, upon youth naïve It was too much, you had to leave Ain’t it funny how, a gentle soul Can get worn down, leave a gaping hole A resilient smile, is hard to fake When trust is shattered, like crystal you break Chorus: Where are you now? Where are you now? Where are you now? Hard to believe, some get the gift of song You had it in spades, you had it strong It seems the brightest stars, well they burn fast They don’t burn long, and they won’t last I choose to believe, you’re still around I perceive, in the rapture of sound And in the colors of summer, and the fragrance of spring In the texture of love, and what the harvest brings. Chorus I choose to believe, you’re still around I perceive, in the rapture of sound And in the colors of summer, and the fragrance of spring In the texture of love, and what the harvest brings.

Can you have a right without a wrong Or an up without a down Well I’m squirming with indecision Down this rabbit hole I have found Can you have a north without a south Or light without the dark Is it just me or am I mistaken? Am I missing the mark The poles of perception Two ends of the field I’m searching for the fountain But its cleverly concealed The poles of perception Two ends of the field Perhaps an illusion I need the truth revealed Can there be the high without the low Or the soft without the hard Can there be a fast without the slow I’m feeling feathered and tarred Is it real or artificial Is it shallow or deep Is it sublime or surreal Am I taking a leap Chorus, Bridge: Are there any shades in between? X3 Can you be free without being bound Is there faith, mixed with doubt Can you be lost and then be found These are some things that I think about Can there be death without life Can you know the bliss without the black Can you know plenty, without the strife Or be high-strung, and laid back Chorus

Hey there, are you listening, Somethings missing, are you listening Couldn’t find it in a bottle, Couldn’t find it in a pill Couldn’t find it with money, ‘cause you can’t buy a thrill I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s something missing (X2) The dude with the sign Told me ‘That man’s time, In this world would end, We are all doomed my friend.’ I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s something missing (X2) We wash our hands of crime Just like in Pilate in his time You can betray a friend For a monetary end I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s something missing Solo I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s something missing So I asked the Father And I asked the Son Would have asked the Holy Ghost But His listening was done I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s something missing (X2) I searched to find the truth But I didn’t have the proof Maybe I’ll find what’s wrong When my time is gone I said hey there, are you listening, are you listening, there’s nothing missing (X2)

ATTENTION!!! Standing on a ledge, wanting to fall Wondering was it worth it, worth it at all Sent us off to fight in a foreign land For reasons I don’t understand Frightened faces haunt me every minute I can’t seem to sleep, I’ve reached my limit I think now about the moments that we’ve shared How you listened, how you cared But the voices of the brothers I have lost Call me now to pay the ultimate cost Army doctors asked me how I felt I said I felt hollow not myself Said it was ok to feel anguish and shame Take some of these, you’ll be normal again I tried but I couldn’t lose the thought Of things I have done, become the man I am not Drugs and the bottle became my friends But they held no answers, no answers in the end. I feel the rush of air as I’m falling And the voices of my lost brothers - calling.

Walking down that long crooked road Heavy load, it can be told Wading cross that swollen stream Why does it seem, so cold It all seems to conspire It all just makes me tire Where is the gold? Riding down that rainy lane Why so much pain? So arcane. Bike tires avoid annihilating worm Try to cause no harm, Try to refrain This changed my point of view Well its so overdue I’ve lost this Mark of Cain Gazing west at painted skies Harmonize, reveals a prize See the silver lined dark cloud It’s not a shroud, I visualize. This changed my point of view I feel so brand new I see with new eyes. Feel the wind and snow and rain and sunlight Full in your face

about

With 10 songs at 42 minutes in length, Bardo MicroTone’s debut album is a foot-tapping classic rock ride through the philosophies that drive us. You’ll think about the duality of life in Summer and Winter followed by the morality of money in The Cure. Once you finish The Hardest Part, your emotions will have been as strongly tested as your ability to deal with the universal flux the band addresses throughout the album. And to quote the band: “Universal flux doesn’t have to suck.”
